As you may or may not know, on November 20th, my best friends son Ivan was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer that no child should ever have to face. Despite this devastating diagnosis, Ivan's spirit remains unbroken, embodying strength that far exceeds his years.
Ivan is more than his diagnosis, he is a beacon of hope, courage, and resilience in the face of an unimaginable challenge. Currently undergoing an extremely difficult 66-week treatment at Seattle Children's Hospital, Ivan continues to inspire everyone around him with his amazing attitude. His mantra, "Take it one day at a time and stay positive," is a powerful reminder of the incredible human spirit that resides within children battling cancer. He is incredibly brave and strong in the face of this serious diagnosis; he is a fighter and an inspiration to us all!
