My name is Marty Longbottom, Lead CST at Wilmington Health ASC. I want to tell you a little bit about a couple of organizations that I belong to. The first is Ainsley's Angels of America (see link below). This organization provides opportunities for inclusion to all individuals who are otherwise unable to participate in endurance events such as 5ks, marathons, and even IronMan events. I am one of the Angel runners/pushers for the Southeastern NC Ainsley's Angels (SENC AA) ambassadorship. We provide modified racing chairs (https://store-ainsleysangels.org/shop/ols/categories/chariots) so that riders are able to be part of the events and have a little wind in their hair. The second organization is F3 (https://f3capefear.com/). This organization is about fitness, fellowship, and faith. We believe in the motto; "Leave no man behind, but leave no man where you found him." In the past as a group, F3 CapeFear was able to raise enough money to purchase and donate an Axiom Racing Chair to the SENC AA ambassadorship. That chair has been used to support Angel riders in many events including the Marine Corp Marathon and Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach Marathon. Members of F3 CapeFear and I would like to present Ainsley's Angels with another racing chair this fall. In order to do this I am asking for your support. Starting 2/18/23 at the Special Olympics Polar Plunge 5k event, I will begin logging miles for endurance activities through Mother's Day 5/14/23. The total miles I accumulate will then be calculated with the amount of money pledged by donors like you. Any amount (either pledges per mile or just a straight donation) are greatly appreciated. Any contributions made will remain confidential. On behalf of F3 CapeFear and SENC Ainsley's Angels, I'd like to thank you in advance for any support you provide to our goal. Together I know we will accomplish our goal of raising $5000 The goal of this challenge is to bring awareness and inclusion to all F3 PAX and those who want to join the cause of INCLUSION. The goal is to Raise $5,000.00 to purchase an Axiom Race Chair to SENC Ainsley's Angels, "POWERED BY F3CAPEFEAR II"
"Why" do what I do? "Why" have a goal to provide wheels, opportunities, and inclusion to those who deserve it? "WHY?" "What If" I do that, "What if" I can bring joy and freedom to a few who just got for a little while? This is what, "Powered by F3CAPEFEAR II" is all about.
