Donation Supporting Cory's 140.6 Miles for Smiles

I'm so excited to be a part of Team BSNCF for this upcoming year! Athletics has always been a huge part of my life and I love being able to combine it with BSNCF and their mission to help families who fighting against Cancer. This cause means so much to me because I've seen first hand how Cancer can completely change the lives of people you love.

About 3 years ago, my Uncle Neil was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer. It rocked our whole family's world. He was the youngest of 5 siblings, loud, hilarious and the life of the party. Having to see such a strong person be completely taken over by disease was heartbreaking. Even in the thick of it all, he was still cracking jokes, talking smack (He was a die-hard Philly fan) and managing to find reasons to smile. He fought hard the whole way through surrounded by the love and support of his family. He passed away in May 2018 at the age of 47.

This year every mile that I swim, bike or run will be for all of those who lives have been so cruelly affected by this terrible disease. Even in the darkest hours, sometimes a smile really can be the best medicine.

We’re sorry!
