Hi everyone! My name is Ella Tuck and I am a junior at City Island Rowing. This is my third year at City Island and this will be my third annual Ergathon! Thank you so much for your support, all contributions mean the world to me and my team. Rowing has taught me the meaning of hard work and discipline, but more importantly the meaning of being part of a team. Being an athlete at City Island has helped shape me into the person I am and I am so grateful for everything I have learned. With your help I can prove how much this team means to me and give back to everyone at City Island.

To help you understand why we love this sport and our team so much, please enjoy this video by 20/21 Team captain and my older sister, Sydney Tuck.

On Sunday March 5th we will hold our annual Ergathon which is our capital equipment fundraiser, to pay for all the equipment that we use, which in our sport is typically made of hand-laid carbon fiber and is very expensive. Every piece of equipment we use at City Island has been purchased with the help of the Ergathon. This year we are looking forward to purchasing a stunning new race shell specifically designed for high school girls, the Hudson USP 8+ (more details can be found on our website). This shell will help us to achieve our goals in the upcoming spring season and will benefit all City Islands for years to come.

Each athlete who raises at least $1000 earns the right to have their name featured prominently in this gorgeous new racing shell... the top 8 fundraisers will have their names right on the seats! With your help, I can be one of those girls!

My teammates and I will be investing our sweat equity! On Sunday we will complete a grueling 90-minute endurance piece on the indoor rowing machine ("the erg"). It will be mentally and physically exhausting, but it's for such a great cause, and I will have all of my supporters in mind to keep me motivated.

Thank you again for your support... especially if you have supported me before!

Please note that City Island Rowing is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization and 100% of your donation is fully tax-deductible.
