Hello and welcome to my page! My name is Giordan Ismael and I have been a part of City Island Rowing for 4 years. If you know me, then you know how passionate I am about rowing and my rowing career. I am incredibly grateful for this sport because it has led me to this amazing team filled with determined and hardworking girls. There isn't enough praise I can give City Island Rowing. This team has done so much for me and has been an integral part of shaping me into the person that I am today.
I am asking you to make a donation so that you can be a part of my journey and help me and my teammates pursue our passions and goals. This annual fundraiser is the primary way in which we raise money to pay for boats, oars, and other equipment, which can get to be very, very, expensive. This year is an especially important fundraiser as proceeds will fund the purchase of the most stunning racing shell, specifically designed for high school girls, available in the world (a more detailed description of the shell we have ordered can be found on our website)! There is no question that this stunning shell, made possible by your generous support, will help us achieve our goals this coming Spring Championship season, and for a decade to come!
My teammates and I will be investing our sweat equity! On Sunday March 5 we will complete a 90-minute endurance piece on the indoor rowing machine ("the erg"). It will be mentally and physically exhausting, but it's for such a great cause, and I will have all of my supporters in mind to keep me motivated.
Thank you so much for your generosity... especially if you have supported me before!!
Please note that City Island Rowing is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization and 100% of your donation is fully tax-deductible.
