City Island Rowing

Hi!  My name is Alice Heathwood and I am a sophomore at Bronxville High School.  I started rowing last fall and immediately fell in love with the sport.  Rowing is one of the biggest and most challenging aspects of my life.  I truly love this sport, mainly because even though there is so much hard work and pain that you need to put into it you are also doing it alongside every one of your teammates.  When early morning wake ups before school or long and dreaded erg pieces seem unbearable, I know that I have each and every one of my teammates, captains, and coaches cheering me on.  Rowing has taught me the true value of hard work, effort, and team.  Being able to row with this team in competitions is truly one of my proudest accomplishments, and I hope you'll consider donating!

Thank you for considering donating to City Island Rowing. 100% of all donations received go to our Capital Equipment Fund, to make sure our athletes have the equipment, tools and facilities they need to be regionally and nationally competitive.  All of the equipment that our athletes use on a daily basis have been funded from the generous donations from athletes, families and friends of CIR.
