City Island Rowing

Hello everyone! On March 6th, my rowing team, City Island Rowing (CIR), is having our biggest fundraiser of the year – our annual ergathon! In case you are wondering, an erg is a rowing machine.  On that day, my whole team will be on ergs rowing as hard as we can for 60-90 minutes to test our endurance and to raise money for our team equipment, like oars and boats. Last year we were able to raise enough money to buy a brand new trailer for all our equipment! Although this is only my first year rowing with CIR, rowing means the world to me and has become a huge and meaningful part of my life that I hope to continue into college and beyond.  In rowing this year, I finally found my sport. I've learned so much about myself and pushed myself to new limits that I could never have even imagined before.
