Hello, thanks for visiting my fundraising page! My name is Maria Szamrej and I have been rowing for almost a year with City Island Rowing. This team and community has been so incredible and impactful on my life and I am so grateful to have been able to become a part of it. I've fallen in love with the sport and cannot express how incredible rowing with a beautiful sunset framing the New York City skyline is. In this past year I have experienced the fun of summer rowing and the challenges of regattas, and it has all been so worth it. Besides the fun, participating in this sport has helped me be more organized and have a much more productive life, and I've made incredible friends along the way!
Any donations to our fundraisers are for much needed equipment like boats, oars, shoes, etc. and will greatly impact all of us and future rowers to come. On March 6th, my team and I will finish the fundraiser by participating in our Ergathon, which is 90 minutes of erging. Thank you for all support and donations, we are so, so grateful!
