Dan Needs A Standing Wheelchair!

Dan Lumley is paralyzed from the chest down from a tragic accident approximately 4 years ago and needs a standing wheelchair that his insurance will not cover!  Since he is no longer walking and not able to stand up, the doctors told him that his bones are weakening and his bone density is way below the normal levels. Additionally, he has suffered numerous pressure sores and has been hospitalized several times from these pressure injuries becoming infected. He desperately needs a stand-up wheelchair to help minimize the bone loss that he is experiencing and to decrease the risk of pressure injuries. Being in a standing position is proven to promote bone growth, strengthen bones and joints, relieve the pressure sustained from sitting or laying down and helps to optimize lung expansion.
