Fundraise for Wheeler Mission

#FlashbackFriday: Sharon Dobbs was the Head Cook at Wheeler Mission in the early 1990’s. At that time, Wheeler had only one site that provided residential services for men experiencing homelessness. Sharon worked long hours with few staff to help her as she planned and prepared meals. She had a gift for being able to make wonderful meals but also was known for her care and concern for those who came through Wheeler’s doors. She also cared deeply for the staff and often brought meals up to the new President, Rick Alvis, during his early years at the mission. She made sure he didn’t skip lunch!
