In the Spring of 2008, Orkeeswa School opened in a Maasai community in northern Tanzania on land donated by local leaders with just 30 students.
Today, Orkeeswa has 330 alumni, over 300 students on campus, and impacts over 5,200 primary school students daily.
Together, we have built the foundation for youth-driven, community-led development across three programs:

ORKEESWA OUTREACH: Utilizes trained and motivated Orkeeswa student and alumni leaders to run holistic programming in local primary schools

ORKEESWA SCHOOL: At the core of our model, Orkeeswa School provides high-quality academics, robust co-curricular programs, student wellness services, and community-based leadership through a holistic secondary school experience

ORKEESWA INCUBATOR: Supports the ongoing impact of alumni through professional development, higher education support, and small grants and mentorship for entrepreneurs
