Cancer is the second leading cause of death in children. Among those cancers is DIPG, a type of childhood cancer that has a 0% survival rate. In other words, DIPG is essentially a death sentence for a child. Research funds remain very low. Childhood cancer research in general only gets 4 cents per dollar and out of that, a minimal amount goes towards DIPG research. Without research, we cannot even attempt to find treatment options and DIPG will continue its deathly rampage. As such, in memory of everyone who has fallen victim to this vicious disease called cancer, including my aunt Geetha Murali, a young ball of sunshine Indy Llew, and many more, I invite you all to donate towards DIPG cancer research in hopes of finding a cure and ending the effects of this disease. The goal for this fundraiser is $3000 and while that may seem high, I am more than confident that we can reach it. The fundraiser is called "Friends for a Lifetime" in line with all of my other fundraisers, as the goal of such work is to connect different groups of people and form meaningful connections for a lifetime. While many of you may never meet the individuals you have helped, the fact that you instilled meaningful change in their lives creates an everlasting connection between the two. All funds from this fundraiser will be donated directly to ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation, a foundation created in honor of Chad, who lost his life to DIPG at a very young age. The fundraiser will remain open until November 28th. Please show your support for the numerous cancer patients across the world and join me in creating a support system that will end this horrible disease once and for all! Thank you!
