Join us on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Radium Runway in Alameda Point for Beer City Half™ Alameda! See the sights, run the coast, and drink the brews that make Alameda a home base for beer lovers. Beer City Festival is a full day of fun. Drink local and dig it!
Beer City Half™
After 3 great years in Alameda, we're thrilled to add a half marathon to Beer City Alameda. That means more racing and MORE beer tasting! Come join us for this Summertime jaunt through Alameda Point and out along the shoreline! The Beer Stroll is a 1-mile walk around Waterfront Park.
The post-race refreshment will introduce you to some of Alameda's and California's best brewers. What better place to DRINK LOCAL than Alameda?
All runners receive a shirt, a Key to Beer City finisher's medal, a custom tasting glass and unlimited tasting at the post-run Festival.
Beat the Beast
Beat the Beast is our special beer mile where you race others and one of our Beer City Beasts. Drink 4 12-oz beers while running a mile. If the Beast catches you, you're out of the race. Better move quickly! Be the Beast that YOU are.
Beat the Beast takes place at Radium Runway, starting at 11am.
All Beasts recieve a special finishers medal and beer of course.
Shindig & The Beermazing Race!
Once the running and beer milin' is done, join us for SHINDIG, a Beer City party with music, food trucks, and games. Your ticket covers your first beer and is available at checkout when you register.
The Shindig is Beer City HQ for the afternoon with fun games like The Beermazing Race, which challenges you to visit 5 brewers between 1pm and 5pm to drink a pint and find the clues to your next taproom.
Each Beermazer receives a cape and special scavenger treats from the taprooms you visit.
The Beer Trolley, Beer Tours & More
Haven't had enough yet? There's more! Hop on The Beer City Trolley! This bus runs from 11am - 5pm and visits our local brewers, including the new Almanac Clubhouse in West Oakland and Drakes Dealership. A bus comes by every 45 minutes to keep you and your beer fresh.
We have also worked closely with our friends to create NEW tours. Visit Admiral Maltings, the only maker of organic malt on the West Coast. Learn how malt is made and the pivotal role it plays in brewing. You can also visit Drakes in San Leandro to learn about their incredible story and how their beer is made.
Both tours come with beer to get you ready to LEARN!
