This year I’m walking in WalkUnitedLA with my team (and a small family sidekick joining for part of it).
In Los Angeles, it’s not unusual to pass by someone living in their car or in a parking lot. My son has started noticing that—and asking questions. We’ve been talking in simple ways about how some people don’t have homes yet, and how helping is something we can choose to do.
This walk is one small way to do that.
In my day-to-day work, I’m part of efforts to support people in finding housing and stability. It’s complex, and there’s no single solution—but I’ve seen what’s possible when communities show up consistently.
So we’ll be out there walking (likely with some snack breaks and a bit of being carried along the way), joining others across LA who care about this too.
If you’d like to support the walk, I’d be grateful—every bit helps move this work forward.
And if not, that’s okay too. Even just being part of a community that notices and cares matters.
Thanks for being part of that.
