I am so excited to be headed into my third PCS race! The past two years have been incredibly inspiring and have reminded me just how lucky I am to have such an amazing support system. Each year, I’ve challenged myself to raise even more than the year before and this year, I’m setting the bar high with a goal of raising $30,000 for sarcoma research.
When I was diagnosed in 2024, it was devastating for both me and my family. After five weeks of radiation and three surgeries, I was officially cancer free. Coming home from the hospital, I discovered PCS and learned they were hosting a 5K just one week later. I shared it on social media, hoping to raise a couple hundred dollars for a cause that had suddenly become deeply personal to me.
A week later, I had raised 19 THOUSAND DOLLARS. I was completely overwhelmed by the love and support surrounding me. Seeing so many people rally behind me and PCS showed me just how powerful community can be, and it’s a feeling I’ll never forget.
This June, I will celebrate two years cancer free, and I want to continue breaking barriers and raising as much money as possible. As always, if you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page or joining us for the walk to show your support.
