Meet Parker Anderson—our adventurous, joyful, and incredibly loving little boy who just happens to be on the autism spectrum.
Next month, Parker will celebrate his 6th birthday. He has Level 3 Autism and is currently nonverbal, but he communicates in so many beautiful ways—with his hugs, his infectious smile, his laughter, and the excitement he shares for the things he loves most.
This fall, Parker will begin an exciting new chapter as he starts kindergarten at Watson Elementary in the Perry Local School District. He absolutely loves school, and if you ask him his favorite part of the day, the answer is easy: riding the school bus!
Parker is happiest when he's outdoors. Rain, snow, or 100-degree sunshine—it doesn't matter. You'll find him swimming, playing with the hose, watering the garden, digging in the sand (and yes... occasionally trying to eat it! 😂), or simply soaking up the fresh air. He also loves watching train videos on YouTube, is fascinated by sensory lights, and when snack time rolls around, cookies and pretzels are almost always at the top of his list. Above all else, Parker's favorite place to be is with his family—especially his mama.
Every milestone Parker reaches reminds us that progress looks different for every child, and we couldn't be prouder of how far he's come. His journey has taught us patience, resilience, unconditional love, and the importance of celebrating every victory, no matter how big or small.
