Hey everyone, I'm Sumona, and I'm part of "The 80's Babies" team. So, why "The 80's Babies"? Well, besides the obvious (we were all born in the 80s!), it's because we're super passionate about something really important to us: making sure aging adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) get the support they need.
My brother, Korak, goes to Eden Autism Services, and they do amazing work. I also share guardianship over Henry, another incredible person with autism. Being involved with Korak and Henry has shown me firsthand how awesome adult services are. But it's also opened my eyes to a huge need that often gets overlooked: there just aren't enough services for older adults with ASD.
As people with autism get older, their needs can change, and the current support systems often have gaps. These are our family members, our friends, people who deserve continued care and understanding as they age. Our team, "The 80's Babies," is on a mission to raise money to fill those gaps. We want to make sure no aging adult with autism is left behind.
Every single donation, big or small, helps us bridge this really important gap. It creates a safety net for a population that truly needs our help more than ever. Thanks for thinking about donating to "The 80's Babies" and Eden Autism Services. Together, we can seriously make a difference in the lives of aging adults with autism.
