Story

After my son was diagnosed with Pre B Cell ALL when he was 4 years old, I decided that my fundraising goal in life was for cancer research. Little did I know that 4 years later my mother’s life (Linda McKay) would be claimed by breast cancer, my dear friend (Debra Miller) would lose her life 10 years later and two of my best friends would start their battles with cancer.

My younger sister (Allison) is a very powerful survivor, and many other loved ones in my life have fought the battle. Too many have lost.

My lifetime funds raised total around $16,000 for Siteman. Siteman is making strides against this disease that I despise with every fiber of my being. This is my ninth PTC and each one has been a 100 mile fight to beat the disease. Again in 2025 I will be riding the 100 miler.

I am proud to join Pedal the Cause in the fight against cancer. Pedal the Cause is more than the region's largest cancer fundraiser. It's a way of life, a celebration, a family and a movement fueled by the courage to end cancer.
