Pedal the Cause

I am proud to join Pedal the Cause in the fight against cancer. Pedal the Cause is more than the region's largest cancer fundraiser. It's a way of life, a celebration, a family and a movement fueled by the courage to end cancer.

I ride because cancer has affected my family: my wife, my mother, my father, my aunt, my father-in-law, my wife's niece, her stepmother... and too many friends and colleagues. 

PTC has special meaning. In August of 2023 Lois was diagnosed with breast cancer. This September will mark two years since the completion of her treatment. PTC research informed the treatments that resulted in Lois’ positive outcome. There is more work to be done. My United By Design team rides to celebrate the legacy of our 2023 PTC captain Troy Guzman. I ride to support all who are undergoing cancer treatment and in memory of family members and friends lost due to cancer.

This past spring Lois and I moved to Louisville Colorado. I will be supporting UBD’s presence at Pedal The Cause remotely but will be there in spirit.
