I am proud to ride with Pedal the Cause in the fight to end cancer. This year marks my 12th consecutive year riding and supporting PTC, and it continues to be far more than the region’s largest cancer fundraising event—it’s a powerful community, a movement, and a celebration of life for everyone touched by this disease.
Pedal the Cause accelerates lifesaving cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, and one of the reasons I’ve stayed committed year after year is because 100% of every dollar donated goes directly to cancer research.
This year, I’ll be riding 52 miles, and every mile has meaning.
I ride in memory of those we’ve lost—my father and my brother‑in‑law, Mark—whose courage and strength continue to inspire me.
I ride in honor of those still fighting, including my brother Kevin, close friends, and countless families who are living this journey right now—reminders that hope matters and research saves lives.
And now, I ride as a cancer survivor myself.
Cancer changed my life. I’ve lived the fear, uncertainty, and fight firsthand. Because of cancer research—because of organizations like Pedal the Cause—survivors like me are here today. Riding for the 12th year is no longer just something I do; it’s personal. It’s my way of giving back, paying it forward, and helping ensure more people hear the words “there are treatment options” and “there is hope.”
Since 2010, Pedal the Cause has raised over $56 million, funding hundreds of innovative cancer research projects right here in St. Louis—research that leads to new treatments, clinical trials, and lifesaving breakthroughs for patients everywhere.
