We ride for Pam. In the Summer of 2022, Becky's mom (Owen and Ellie's grandma, my mother-in-law) got the news no one wants. The past three years have been a symphony of love and tears and travel and change and reflection. There's no playbook for staying strong through a Stage IV cancer diagnosis, and it can be hard to know where and how to help.
I'm excited that ARCO and Pedal the Cause have given me a way to feel a little more useful in this fight. On September 21, my son and I will ride not just for the challenge (and there are many challenges - step 1: buy bikes; step 2: get in shape; step 3: pray for mild weather), but for something bigger.
As we honor Pam's courage and thank her for all she's given us, we'll ride to translate our love into action and our hope into progress.

Check Donations - Please make the check payable to Pedal the Cause and mail the check to CIBC c/o Pedal the Cause 8410 Solutions Center Chicago, IL 60677-8004 with the fundraiser name in the memo line.
Stock donations and Donor-Advised Fund - When processing a DAF grant through a charitable giving account, search for the Pedal the Cause by tax ID (27-2233336). In the “notes” section, indicate the Pedal the Cause fundraiser you want to support.
