Pedal the Cause

I have been participating in this event since 2013 — this will be my 13th year! I’m excited to be back at home again in St. Louis after last year’s rainout and riding remotely for the three years before that. I'm especially grateful to have my brother-in-law, Mike Smith, joining me this year!

I originally started doing this because it was a company event that I wanted to be part of. I never realized how deeply this disease would impact my life over the next 12 years. I’m proud to take part in such a meaningful event and to support an organization like Siteman Cancer Center.

This year, I’ll be riding for my dad. He sadly lost his battle with pancreatic cancer in October, shortly after last year’s rained-out race. He was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in July 2023 and fought bravely for 15 months. He remains my inspiration to ride and to continue supporting efforts to help people facing cancer.
