Maxwell J. Muzyczka, “Max,” was a beloved friend to all his classmates. He carried an energy and humor that buoyed his 2024 class and teammates alike throughout his years and beyond his passing in 2020. His spirit lives on with his gifts of life through organ donation and in the hearts of those who remember him. A scholarship bearing his name has been established to honor his larger-than-life personality, which will be missed by so many in the year that he would have graduated from Highland High School.
The Max Muzyczka Memorial Scholarship shall be awarded to a college bound Highland student of strong faith who champions others, plays a school supported or recognized team sport, participates in musical pursuits, and has a minimum 3.5 grade point average. The initial scholarship award amount will be $2,500, and the scholarship will be renewable in the amount of $1,000 annually for up to three years, provided the scholarship recipient remains in contact with The Highland Foundation for Educational Excellence.
