Hello everyone, after the successful inaugural 24-Hour Hockey Marathon in 2025 run by LivFree and LivSports and held at the Matire Family Arena at SacredHeartUniversity, we are BACK!!!
Our hockey community, marathon teammates, sponsors, support teams and fans are back this March to do it all again and provide support to, raise money for and bring needed awareness of pediatric cancers and those families that are navigating through their journeys.
Last year through our teammates hard work on and off the ice and your supportive sponsorship and donation efforts we as a community.... as a family, raised $170,000 dollars for LivFree - a pediatric cancer foundation.
LivFree and their support networks provides Moments of Joy to children and families who are dealing with the challenges of life with pediatric cancer, giving them opportunities to step away from the struggle if only for a moment and to create memories to hold, smiles to remember and laughter to hear when needed the most. Whether it is going to a sporting event, a broadway show, a concert, or even just a night out - LivFree is there to support and make those Moments of Joy real.
As I had last year and again do so this year, I thank you for your support and well wishes on my physical challenge upcoming! Last year i played 17.5 hours of the 24 hours as goalie, making some highlights reel saves, including stopping a penalty shot and personally and most proudly raised over $4,000 for the cause. Thank you all for that amazing effort and support for me and our cause!
This year's event will have more meaning and carry a stronger call to action of awareness and support as it with a heavy heart to say that my 5 year old nephew Jack was very recently diagnosed with a pediatric cancer and has taken his first steps down the long road of recovery. We wish him the most love, prayers, support and strength that ever can be in his time of need.
Your support means alot to many and they and we thank you for considering a donation, a sponsorship, volunteer action or simply coming to cheer on an event, a sport a moment that many will come together for and certainly never forget.
Lets all come together through many ways and paths, stand together as the LivFree family and help bring smiles and memories to children and their families when they need it most.
