Many of you know how much I (Kyri) love my work welcoming refugees and immigrants, largely because of their perspective, strength, and great faith. Just last week I met a client who was a slave for fifteen years. FIFTEEN YEARS, starting from the age of 5.  And then I returned home to my own five-year-old daughter and her birthday were to celebrate in that very same week. The contrast is simultaneously gut-wrenching and yet such a privilege to bear witness to. 

I'm writing in the hopes that you will join me (and my family) in supporting the important work of Community Refugee and Immigration Services (CRIS). I want to help CRIS raise $100,000 in 100 days to establish the Enduring Welcome Fund and continue serving our community for many years to come. So many of you have been supporting this work from near and far, our big circles and little circles. Thank you for your goodness and willingness to offer support in these tenuous years ahead.
