Jenna was diagnosed with PEComa, an ultra-rare subtype of sarcoma in May of 2024. Since then, she has inspired family, friends and countless strangers in her continued fight against this disease, though she is also the first to admit that this battle requires an army of support. Her care team, led by Dr. Andrew Wagner of Dana Farber Cancer Institute, are some of the best in the world, and we are beyond grateful for their guidance, wisdom and compassion.

Unfortunately, sarcoma remains one of the most under-researched cancers relative to other, more commonly known types. Thanks to the Race to Cure Sarcoma events, SFA is working to change that. The organization has invested over $20 million in sarcoma research, funding over 200 grants in 12 countries leading to close to 200 total publications, adding to the sarcoma research discourse.
