Hi, I’m Sydney — a 27-year-old wife, mom, and clear cell sarcoma warrior.
In October 2024, I was diagnosed with clear cell sarcoma after months of unexplained leg pain and way too many scans. This rare, aggressive cancer makes up less than 1% of 1% of all cancers — and it completely flipped my world upside down.
Since then, I’ve gone through five weeks of daily radiation, endless MRIs, CTs, and PET scans, and in March 2025 I underwent major surgery to remove the remaining tumor from my left leg. My doctors were able to get clean margins — except for one small area we’re now monitoring closely through scans every three months at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.
It hasn’t been easy — physically or emotionally — but I’m still standing. I’m still fighting.
This July, I’ll be in Washington, D.C. for the Race to Cure Sarcoma, leading a team called Sunflowers for Sydney. I’ll be walking — hopefully running — to raise awareness, fuel research, and stand for every rare cancer warrior who deserves to be seen, studied, and supported.
Whether you donate, join my team, or simply share this page — your support means the world to me. Each step is a reminder that rare isn’t invisible, and together, we’re walking toward better answers. Your support helps plant hope for what’s ahead. Thank you for being part of this fight with me. 🌻
