2025 started with the surprise of a lifetime. Rick went to the ER for leg pain/swelling, and what was initially diagnosed as blood clots in his leg turned out to be a cancerous mass. After extensive testing, the most definitive diagnosis that they could get to was round cell sarcoma that had metastasized. These last few months have been a whirlwind of tests and treatment.
Rick is handling this like a champ, showing enormous strength in the face of adversity. He has a tough road ahead and he continues to battle but approaches each day with an unbelievable amount of hope and positivity.
Please consider donating to my fundraising efforts as I raise funds for research in hopes of finding a cure for sarcoma cancer.
I am excited to participate in the STL Cure Sarcoma 6K Run/Walk event on October 12, 2025. I encourage you to register and join me for the event, but I understand that not everyone will be able to attend. If you can't make it, you can still show your support by donating to this important cause.
No donation is too small or too large. All proceeds from this event will be directed towards research at the Siteman Cancer Center and other nationwide research institutions through a grant named after STL Cure Sarcoma.
All donations are tax-deductible.
Thank you for your support.
With hope.
