I was diagnosed with ushers syndrome type 2A when I was 8. At first I didn’t understand, or really care. I first went to an USH camp in 2023, and it was the best time of my life. I didn’t think that I would feel as in love with myself and the world until I went back to camp in 2026. Somehow, it was so much more impactful than the first camp. This time around it was more than just fun, it changed my whole outlook on living with Usher Syndrome and connecting with others who have it as well. Since this 2026 camp I’ve told myself and everyone else that I won’t miss a single camp ever again. This is why I am asking for you guys to help support this life changing camp, not just for me, but for all the people across the world who want to feel the same impact that I am grateful to have experienced.
Any funds I am able to raise will go toward helping secure a camp location for the summer of 2027. Thanks for your help in bringing together youth with this rare disease to grow, learn, and connect.
