For over 22 years, I’ve had a front-row seat to something truly special.

Every day at Mercy Medical Center, I’ve watched compassion in action—patients and families walking through some of the hardest moments of their lives, met by people who don’t just provide care, but provide humanity. The Sisters of Mercy built this place on a simple but powerful mission: to care for those in need, especially when they need it most. And that mission is still alive in every hallway, every patient room, every quiet conversation that brings comfort when it’s needed most.

I’ve seen families who had nowhere else to turn and only came to us because they were told one of our providers might be able to help.  I’ve seen patients receive care that goes beyond medicine—care that restores dignity, hope, and strength. Ask any healthcare worker, would you send your family member and I’ve always been able to say yes!   

That’s why I’m running (or jogging …. Maybe walk a little….).

This run is more than miles—it’s a way to give back to the patients and families who rely on Mercy every single day. It’s about supporting programs, services, and care that make a real difference in people’s lives when they’re at their most vulnerable.
