At Puckhead Hockey, we believe the game is bigger than the scoreboard. It’s about community, showing up for each other, and using what we love as a force for good.
This May, we’re taking that mindset to the next level as we lace up for the LivSports 24 Hour Adult Hockey Marathon, benefiting LivFree — a nonprofit that creates meaningful moments of joy for children and families battling pediatric cancer.
PHC Charities is built on the same foundation: bringing people together through hockey to make a real impact off the ice. Our community is made up of players who found the game later in life, who show up for the love of it, and who understand how powerful it can be when a group of people rallies around something bigger than themselves.
That’s exactly what this event represents.
For families facing pediatric cancer, life can quickly become overwhelming — filled with treatments, stress, and uncertainty. LivFree steps in to provide something incredibly important: a chance to pause, to smile, and to create lasting memories together. Whether it’s a game, a concert, or a simple night out, those moments matter more than we can fully understand.
So for 24 straight hours, we’ll be on the ice — not just testing our endurance, but standing in support of these families. Every shift we take is a reminder that hockey can be more than a game. It can be a platform to lift people up.
Through PHC Charities, this is our way of giving back — turning our community’s passion into something that directly impacts lives.
If you’re able to support, any donation goes toward creating moments of joy for families who truly need them. And if nothing else, know that this community is showing up the way it always does — together.
