I've participated in the Badger Challenge every year following my initial diagnosis and treatment and each year presents a new reason for running.
Personally, I'm so lucky to have access to world-class care at UW's comprehensive cancer center, where they personalize care based on what each patient needs and what the most current research supports - including research done by some of the best minds right here in Madison.
Professionally, I'm so lucky to work with many of the best health care providers in the country. I've worked with physician scientists who study diseases so rare that finding three patients with similar symptoms provides enough insight to develop a cure. They are amazing and struggling right now due to significant funding cuts. Without research, many of us would have had a different outcome to our cancer diagnosis.
100% of donations to the Badger Challenge fund cancer research at UW. I have had the best support in my own journey and my friends and family have donated more than $10,000 to Badger Challenge and we're only getting started. I appreciate any donation, words of encouragement, or maybe you want to sign up to participate yourself. Thank you for being people who change the world.
