For those of you who know us know how important our pups are to us. Our goal is to help advocate and educate on DM and how we can do our part in prevention. Our princess Xena turned 10 this August and is doing well but we know she has both copies of the gene making her a high risk for developing DM. Our sweet Luna has never been tested but due to her blood relation to Xena we knew she was at least a carrier. This spring Luna started to have some issues with her back legs. After some diagnostic testing at the vet we know she has pretty severe arthritis in her hip but she also shows signs of nerve degeneration highly likely DM. Luna is still able to walk and play right now but is more clumsy and sometimes loses her back end. We know the future will likely be a progression of this disease for Luna and we want to give her the best life possible 🐾
We are their voice! 💜 No pup should suffer from Degenerative Myelopathy, and no pawrent should have to watch their beloved companion lose their mobility. Together, we can #ShadeOutDM - but we need your voice, your heart, and your help to make it happen. 🐾
This is our 7th Annual RACE and our fifth year as an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Every team, every mile, every share helps us reach more people and more pups.

💌 Raise funds for our Loaner Cart Program and mission efforts - attending events, veterinary conferences, and shipping awareness materials across the globe to “bark out loud” for the pups.
