We are proud to share that our team, Public Health: Detect & Protect, will be participating in the 25th Annual Care4 Breast Cancer 5K! 💗
As public health professionals, early detection and equitable access to care are at the heart of what we do — and this event reflects exactly why that work matters. The Care4 Breast Cancer 5K supports the Family Health Partnership Clinic, which provides annual mammograms, early detection services, and critical healthcare to uninsured individuals right here in our community. Too often, a lack of access to affordable care means people delay the screenings that could save their lives. That is something we see and work against every day.
This cause is also personal to our team. Some of our team members have walked this road themselves or supported loved ones who have, and we know firsthand how much access to timely, quality care can change an outcome. We are walking and running in honor of our team members and every person who has faced this disease — and for every person who deserves the peace of mind that comes with early detection.
Our goal is to raise $500 to help ensure these life-saving services remain available to those who need them most. Every contribution — no matter the size — moves us closer to a community where no one has to forgo care because of cost.
