Help me in support in the families of fallen first responders.

Thirty years ago, at 18, I volunteered with the Deerfield Fire Department.

In 2023, while I was out of state, an early-morning structure fire broke out at my home in western Massachusetts. Firefighters from multiple nearby towns arrived at 5:30 a.m. that Monday morning. Their quick response saved most of my home from being destroyed.

In 2024, partly in gratitude for what those firefighters did for my family, I joined Sherborn Fire & Rescue, went through the Massachusetts Fire Academy, and now serve as an active firefighter.

I’m asking you to join me in supporting The 100 Club of Massachusetts—an organization dedicated solely to providing financial support to the families of first responders after a death.

Recently, we lost one of our own to a fatal illness—a father who left behind a wife and two young daughters. The 100 Club stepped in immediately to support them when they needed it most.

Most first responders in Massachusetts serve because of duty, not financial incentive. In small towns—like the ones whose crews saved my home—that commitment is even more stark.

Supporting The 100 Club is a direct way to stand with the people who stand up for the rest of us.

Thank you,

Justin Sherratt
