Recent federal cuts to the NIH and the projected cuts to Medicaid will devastate health care and scientific advancements for all Americans. We will likely lose a generation of young scientists given the grim and very real budget cuts to the NIH. Many of you have heard about this. Unfortunately, my colleagues and I are living this every day as we hear more and more difficult news that impacts what we can do for our patients.
On September 21, 2025, the Run of Hope in Seward Park will raise funds for the pediatric cancer and blood disorders program at Seattle Children's. This will move our research forward, enabling new discoveries and translation for some of life's most threatening illnesses that affect some of our most vulnerable patients.
