Description

Join us on Saturday, October 26th for our third-annual Compassion Walk! Compassion Walk is a charity walk for people of all abilities. The route allows for participants to walk any distance up to 3 miles, providing an inclusive experience for everyone. All proceeds from the walk benefit A Little Compassion, Inc. (ALC), a little non-profit with a big mission: to change the lives of young adults with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and other neurodiversities.

This scenic and accessible walk takes place in beautiful Hammonasset Beach State Park, hugging the park's shoreline. Along the route, we have designed many activities for all members of the community filled with new and entertaining experiences. When your walk is complete, we invite you to join our Compassion Flyers: a new kite event where you can soar alongside others and all can rise together.

Teams are encouraged!  Team Spirit Award will be given to top 3 teams showing their creativity, compassion and energy throughout the walk!!  Get those tutus, hats, funky shirts and signs ready!!  Every walker receives a free t-shirt while supplies last based on registration date.

A Little Compassion programs include our New Employment Skills Training program, our social and educational Gatherings program, our Artist Boutique program and finally our Acceptance, Inclusion and Outreach program. Please click the following link to learn more about all the ways we serve the community. https://alittlecompassion.org/

Since 2018, ALC has accomplished so much through the work done at The Nest Coffee House in Deep River, CT. We have changed the lives of nearly 1,000 neurodivergent people, their families, and the larger community. We hope you will join us in this unique and fun experience in October!
