Place

VIRTUAL- 34 Bridgestone Way SE
Cartersville, GA US 30120

Description

The Williams-Locke Scholarship Fund supports Middle School and High School age youth with scholarship awards for youth enrichment programs.  Research shows that youth enrichment programs improve students’ educational outcomes, school attendance, and social and emotional learning. Quality values based enrichment programs lower dropout rates and has helped close achievement gaps for students. For older youth, regular participation may also reduce risky behaviors and help students gain college access and develop marketable skills.

The average cost of after school enrichment programs has skyrocketed.  This leaves parents of many youth without viable options to provide the much needed support for building skills and character.  The hardest hit are those families with multiple school aged children.

The Williams-Locke Enrichment Scholarship Program invites your participation in a Virtual Walk/Run to raise funds for youth enrichment awards.  This year's target goal is $2,500.
