Gather with your family, friends, healthcare providers, and support group members for a day of IC/BPS awareness and an empowering experience for people living with IC/BPS!

  • Create communities of support for IC/BPS patients and families

Interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome (IC/BPS) is recurring pelvic pain, pressure, or discomfort in the bladder and pelvic region, often associated with urinary frequency (needing to go often) and urgency (feeling a strong need to go). IC/BPS can affect anyone, with more than 12 million people in the US experiencing symptoms.

HOST: Jeffrey Proctor, MD

Registration fee for the in-person event is $20 (includes Walk for an IC Cure t-shirt and face mask, IC awareness bracelet, and mardi gras beads). Children under 16 are free (t-shirt not included).

Awards will be given to the top fundraiser, the team leader with most registered members, and the team with the most creative name!

Anyone who fundraises $500 or more will receive a Walk for an IC Cure hoodie.

The event will consist of:

  • Remarks from Dr. Jeffrey Proctor, Georgia Urology and member of the ICA’s Medical Advisory Board. Dr. Proctor has been involved in national research protocols for IC/BPS serving as principal investigator for a national, multi-center study.
  • Remarks from ICA Board Chair Mike Greenwell and ICA Board Member Jay Moss.
  • Stretching
  • One mile walk through Dellinger Park.
  • Stay for a meet-n-greet with healthcare providers, ICA board members, fellow IC/BPS patients, and caregivers following the Walk.

We want you to relax and stay safe, so we will follow CDC guidelines for large gatherings and establish safe social distancing practices including: handing out ICA branded face masks, hand sanitizer on site, taking temperatures at registration, and enforcing six-foot physical distancing.
