10K Course Details

The 10K begins with a short loop near the starting line, running south on McElroy Road, passing the historic Bonnie & Clyde Cottage, before running back north again on the Service Road. From there, 10K athletes will start their northeasterly journey around the larger McElroy Road loop. Runners will exit The Boulders's property and run to FM 848 and back. After a second brief out-and-back McElroy branch, runners will reenter campus and continue conquering the larger McElroy loop. Before crossing the finish line, 10K runners can enjoy a weaving path near the water's edge, touring popular lakefront camp sites and attractions. A final lap through "Arrowhead" and a straightaway back into the finish arch completes the course.

  • A slightly more complex course that tours park amenities and highlights the beauty of the area
  • Completely paved course
  • Minimal elevation change
  • One water stop location (two encounters)
  • Fully marked course
  • Volunteers & race staff present on course
