Waiver and Release of Liability – Peak & Pace Run of Nations & Carnival (September 6, 2025)

In consideration of the acceptance of my entry into the Peak & Pace Run of Nations & Carnival (the “Event”), I, the undersigned participant, intending to be legally bound, hereby voluntarily assume all risks and waive, release, and discharge any and all claims for damages, injuries, or losses I may incur against Peak & Pace Corporation, the Event Director, RunSignup.com, the City of New York, and any affiliated municipalities or agencies, all sponsors, vendors, partners, volunteers, employees, contractors, and any and all other individuals or entities associated with the organization or execution of this Event (collectively, the “Released Parties”).

This release applies to any and all claims for damages or injuries, whether foreseen or unforeseen, that may arise before, during, or after the Event, and is binding upon me and my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns.

I acknowledge that participation in a road race involves inherent risks, including but not limited to: falls; collisions with other participants or objects; effects of weather, heat, or cold; traffic and road conditions; and potential exposure to illness, including COVID-19. I understand these risks and confirm that I am voluntarily participating with full knowledge and acceptance of them. I certify that I am medically able and sufficiently trained to participate in this event and that my physical condition has been confirmed by a licensed medical professional.

In the event of a medical emergency, I authorize the Event Director or their designee to seek medical attention on my behalf and consent to receive such treatment deemed necessary. I agree to be financially responsible for any costs related to such medical care, including transportation, hospitalization, and related expenses.

I agree to follow all Event rules and directions provided by officials and acknowledge that failure to do so may result in my disqualification and/or removal from the event. I also agree to comply with all federal, state, and local health guidelines related to communicable diseases and confirm that I have reviewed the CDC’s recommendations regarding COVID-19: https://www.cdc.gov.

I hereby grant permission to the Released Parties to use my name, likeness, image, voice, or appearance in any photographs, videos, recordings, publications, promotional materials, or broadcasts related to the Event without compensation or further authorization.

Refund Policy: I acknowledge and agree that all entry fees are non-refundable under any circumstances, including cancellation due to weather, natural disaster, acts of God, pandemic, or other events beyond the control of the organizers. Bib numbers are non-transferable. The organizers reserve the right to postpone, modify, or cancel the Event without notice.

By signing or submitting this registration (or by a parent/guardian for participants under 18), I affirm that I have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by the terms of this Waiver and Release of Liability.
