In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Childhood Cancer Foundation of Southern California, Inc. Kids Walk (the “Event”), I, the undersigned participant (or parent/legal guardian if participant is under 18), intending to be legally bound, hereby agree to the following:

I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in the Event, including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, weather conditions, traffic, and course conditions. I acknowledge that participating in an outdoor walking event is potentially hazardous and that I should not participate unless I am medically able and properly prepared.

I certify that I am in good health, physically capable of participating, and have no medical condition that would prevent my safe involvement. I agree to wear appropriate footwear and to follow all Event rules, instructions, and decisions made by Event officials regarding my ability to safely participate.

I hereby waive, release, and discharge any and all claims for injury, illness, death, or property damage that I may have now or in the future against Childhood Cancer Foundation of Southern California, Inc., the Event Director, RunSignUp, the City of Loma Linda, Loma Linda University, and all sponsors, partners, volunteers, employees, and representatives (collectively, the “Released Parties”). This release applies to any and all injuries or damages sustained before, during, or after the Event and is binding upon my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns.

In the event of illness, injury, or medical emergency, I authorize Event organizers to obtain necessary medical treatment on my behalf. I understand and agree that I am solely responsible for any and all medical expenses incurred, including transportation, treatment, and hospitalization.

I grant permission to the Event organizers and their designees to use my name, image, voice, and likeness in photographs, video recordings, or other media taken during the Event for legitimate promotional, educational, or reporting purposes, without compensation.

By registering for this Event, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to this Waiver & Release of Liability.
