In consideration of you accepting this donation, I, the participant, intending to be legally bound do hereby waive and forever release any and all rights and claims for damages or injuries that I may have against the Dog Scouts of America, Dog Scout Camp, RunSignup.com, its owners, operators, promoters, sponsors, instructors, and for each of them, their officers, directors, employees and all of their agents assisting with the event, sponsors and their representatives, volunteers and employees and for the purposes herein referred to as 'RELEASEES,' for any and all injuries to me, my dog or my personal property. This release includes all injuries and/or damages suffered by me and/or my dog before, during or after the fundraising event. I recognize, intend and understand that this release is binding on my heirs, executors, administrators, or assignees.

I acknowledge that participating in dog activities is potentially hazardous and that I should not participate unless I am medically able to do so and my dog has been cleared for normal activity by my veterinarian. I assume all risks associated with participating in this event including, but not limited to: maintaining control of my dog at all times, falls, contact with other people and animals, the effects of weather, traffic, and other potentially hazardous conditions, and waive any and all claims which I might have based on any of those and other risks typically found in participating in a dog-related activity. I acknowledge all such risks are known and understood by me. I agree to abide by all decisions of any Dog Scouts of America official relative to my ability to safely participate. I certify as a material condition to my being permitted to participate that I am physically fit and sufficiently trained for the completion of this fundraising event and that I have consulted with my medical physician and veterinarian regarding participation under my and my dog's current physical condition.

I acknowledge that participating in a virtual fundraising event does not provide the same oversight as an in-person race or camp event and therefore in the event of an illness, injury or medical emergency arising during the fundraising event the Releases are not responsible or liable for securing from any accredited hospital, clinic and/ or physician any treatment deemed necessary for my immediate care. I agree that I will be fully responsible for payment of any and all medical services and treatment rendered to me including but not limited to medical transport, medications, treatment and hospitalization.

As it applies to my participation in this fundraiser, I agree to abide by the Center for Disease Control (CDC)’s recommendations for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 and attest to having read the CDC’s guidance at: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prepare/prevention.html. I also agree to abide by any COVID-19 distancing and other safety guidelines issued by the state, the community or by this event for my participation in this fundraiser.

Further, I grant permission to all the foregoing to use my name, voice and images of myself and my dog(s) in any photographs, motion pictures, results, publications or any other print, videographic or electronic recording of this event for legitimate purposes.

This event follows the standard industry policy: All entry fees are non-refundable. We reserve the right to postpone or cancel the event due to circumstances beyond our control such as a natural disaster or emergency or as required to protect the safety of participants and staff. No refunds will be issued under these circumstances. We reserve the right to change the details of the fundraiser without prior notice. I understand that my donation is nonrefundable and registrations are non transferable.

I HEREBY AGREE THAT THIS ENTIRE AGREEMENT SHALL BE GOVERNED AND CONSTRUED according to the laws of the STATE OF MICHIGAN, and is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the laws of that State, and that if any portion of the Agreement is held to be invalid, it is agreed that the remainder shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect and that any action arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the action or alleged negligence of the Releasees shall be litigated in the courts of Michigan.

By submitting this registration donation, I acknowledge on behalf of myself and/or as the legal guardian for the listed participating child under 18 years that I have read and agreed to the above release and waiver including the no refund policy.
