5k Walk/Run for Life Community Event

You will be assigned a station along the route to help direct participants and cheer them on. There are a few spots that will need to help LOPD direct traffic.

This is for two different tasks/times.
Volunteers will be helping set out cones pre-race along the course to ensure safety on roads and direct participants. Volunteers will be helping pick up cones post-race.
Must be able to lift and bend.

This position needs to be very attentive to the race. You will be given a specific task by the coordinator that could be one of the following:
Timer
Bibs
Results

There will be two water stations along the route at the turn-arounds. You will be responsible for having water in cups set out on the table but also handing water out as participants come by. Please make sure your station is cleaned up and all trash thrown away when finished. (Water, table and cups, will be provided by the Center)

This position needs two people who can carry a small banner with them while walking the course.

Help with signing kids up for the fun run and other tasks.

This position needs to be able and comfortable drawing requested designs/animals/etc on faces! All supplies will be provided.

This position is responsible for making sure the food is set out before participants start showing up and keeping everything stocked up throughout the event's duration.

This position will need to make sure all beverages are set out and ready before participants start arriving. As well as replenishing throughout the duration of the event.
