Merchandise Table

Details

Overview: Join us at the Merchandise Table and play a key role in managing our DSACO merchandise and information. Volunteers will sell merchandise, provide information about DSACO, and ensure everything runs smoothly at the table.

Responsibilities:
Sell DSACO merchandise to attendees, processing payments via an iPad app (cash or card).
Act as the official DSACO Information Table, answering questions and providing information about the organization.
Keep merchandise organized and neatly displayed in the tent at all times.
Ensure the iPad and other equipment are used correctly and securely.
Remain at the tent until the end of your shift, handing off the iPad and responsibilities to the volunteers for the next time slot.

Spirit Squad High Priority

Overview: Join the Spirit Squad and bring energy and excitement to our event! This volunteer position is perfect for high school sports teams, cheer and pom squads, mascots, clubs, and businesses. Help us cheer on our runners and celebrate Down syndrome by cheering on family teams during the awareness walk!

Responsibilities:
Cheer on runners with enthusiasm and support.
Bring and use streamers, paint up, and create large signs to celebrate and encourage participants.
Wear your sports team, club, or organization's uniform or shirt to show your support.
Engage with participants and contribute to a festive atmosphere.

Friday Setup Crew High Priority

Overview: Be a key player in preparing for our weekend event by joining the Friday Setup Crew. Volunteers will assist with setting up various aspects of the event, ensuring everything is ready for a successful start.

Responsibilities:
Set up tables, chairs, and other event infrastructure.
Arrange signage and decorations as directed.
Assist with the setup of booths, tents, and other equipment.
Help organize and stock supplies needed for the event.
Work with other volunteers and staff to ensure all areas are prepared and functional.
Volunteers need to be able to lift 25lbs and wear close-toed shoes.

5K Checkin

Assist with sorting and organizing race materials and supplies.
Answer participant questions and provide information about the race.

Overview: Become an Inflatables Attendant and help ensure a fun and safe experience for all attendees. Volunteers will oversee inflatable attractions, ensuring participants follow safety guidelines and enjoy their time.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and monitor inflatable attractions to ensure participant safety.
Provide instructions and safety guidelines to participants before they enter the inflatables.
Assist participants with entering and exiting the inflatables.
Ensure that the inflatable area remains clean and organized.
Report any issues or safety concerns to event staff promptly.

Festival Setup Crew

Overview: Join our Festival Setup Crew to help create a fantastic event space. Volunteers will be responsible for setting up tables and chairs on the lawn, assisting vendors with transporting items from their vehicles to their booths, and supporting staff with various other tasks.

Responsibilities:
Set up tables and chairs on the lawn for event attendees.
Assist vendors in carrying items from their vehicles to their booth locations.
Help vendors set up their tables, chairs, and display areas.
Support staff with a variety of setup tasks as needed.
Ensure the event area is organized, safe, and ready for attendees.

5K Setup Crew

Overview: Join the 5K Setup Crew and help us create an organized and welcoming race environment. Volunteers will assist staff in setting up and organizing the race area, ensuring everything is ready for racers and attendees.

Responsibilities:
Set up signs and directional markers along the race route.
Inflate and arrange balloons to decorate the race area.
Set up water stations and ensure they are stocked with sufficient water.
Arrange snacks and other refreshments for participants and attendees.
Assist with the setup of other necessary items and equipment.

Teardown Crew

Overview: Join the Tear Down Crew and play a crucial role in wrapping up our event. Volunteers will assist vendors, DSACO staff, and entertainers in tearing down items and loading them into vehicles and trailers at the loading zone on Sheridan Ave.

Responsibilities:
Assist with dismantling booths, stages, and other event setups.
Help vendors, DSACO staff, and entertainers pack up their items.
Load items into vehicles and trailers efficiently and safely.
Ensure the loading zone on Sheridan Ave. remains organized and safe.
 Volunteers must be able to lift 25lbs and wear close-toed shoes.

Parking Attendants

Details

MUST BE A Prestige Valet EMPLOYEE to sign up. Parking attendants will be responsible for ensuring the parking lot stays organized and that cars are not blocked in. Volunteers will need to communicate with staff regarding any parking lot concerns.

General Festival Volunteer

Overview: Join us as a General Festival Volunteer and help ensure our event runs smoothly and successfully. This role involves a variety of tasks aimed at supporting festival activities and providing a positive experience for all attendees. One notable task will be directing runners to the 5K check-in table.

Provide directions and information to festival attendees.
Support event staff with crowd management and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Photo Station Assistant
