Ashley McGuire is a consultant specializing in restorative justice practices, conflict resolution, peacemaking, communication, social-emotional development, and play therapy. Ashley believes in personal warmth and genuine curiosity, strengthening peaceful connections for couples, families, businesses, organizations, and schools. Working with both intimate and large-scale events designed to reconnect people to their sense of shared humanity and community. Her unique blend of joyful play combined with powerful peacemaking skills and gentle teaching help people feel a shared sense of community, increased empathy, a greater ability to overcome divides, and deeper self-awareness. 

Ashley's work includes designing and delivering innovative and interactive live theater, groundbreaking student assemblies, workshops, classes, programs, camps, and more. She provides coaching and peacemaking solutions for schools, universities, families, corporations, communities, couples, churches, and non-profit organizations. Ashley's wide range of creative offerings and programs have been supporting peaceful and productive relationships for 25 years. 

Ashley's work also includes restorative circle facilitation for community building and harm repair, wilderness retreats to reconnect with nature and self, social-emotional learning programs for students and adults to develop through play, relationship and conflict coaching, interfaith and inter-political dialogues, parent and educator coaching, mentorship, and personal consultations for making peace.

Change Your Mind is a free, one-day event that focuses on creating and sustaining mental wellness through workshops, demonstrations, presentations, and hands-on experiences led by experts from Interfaith Community Services and the San Diego mental health community.  


By participating you’ll discover valuable tools you can use to care for yourself and loved ones, enjoy a day of healing self-care, be educated and inspired, and help spread awareness about the importance of mental wellness. 
Change Your Mind is a family-friendly event that welcomes all ages.  Come experience wellness activities such as art therapy, live music, cultural dance performances, gong meditation, breath work, four distinct sensory activities, yoga for kids, sound baths, and more.

A veteran and security consultant who prepares his clients to survive  dynamic environments and challenging situations by sharing the knowledge, skills and experience he earned while living and working in conflict zones around the world. During his studies as an anthropology student and, later, while serving and working abroad, Thom learned, first-hand, about the powerful impact of groups and community in cultures around the world and the critical role they play in human survival. It is his personal and professional mission to teach audiences inner strength, resilience and adaptability, and to guide and help others grow after experiencing their own conflicts and trauma.
