Since 1998, LifeFlight has safely cared for more than 40,000 patients. The highly skilled medical teams are available 24/7/365 and bring ICU-level care directly to patients wherever they are — a backyard, ball field, trailside, island, or a community hospital anywhere in Maine. Last year, LifeFlight transported 2,566 critically ill or injured patients, which translates to one patient every 3.5 hours.
LifeFlight’s commitment to Maine is to provide access to the best care possible for every person who lives in or visits our great state. Given Maine’s size, rural and remote population, and fickle weather patterns, making that happen is complicated. It requires a fleet that offers multiple modes of transport — helicopters, airplane, ground ambulances — all equipped with the best possible medical and aviation equipment to allow us to safely reach patients every day and night of the year.
LifeFlight Emergency Care Open
Now in its seventeenth year, the LifeFlight Emergency Care Open is a popular tournament with a dedicated following of golfers from all over Maine. This year’s tournament will be held at Natanis Golf Course in Vassalboro on Monday, June 16 at 9AM.
