Adopt a Butterfly

Pollinator Partner
Tuesday Sep 8, 2020 12:00am - Monday Sep 21, 2020 1:00pm EDTPollinator Partners will receive all of the benefits of the Butterfly Hero, Creature Crafter, and Adopt a Butterfly levels, PLUS a butterfly friendly plant with planting instructions so you can provide a space for butterflies at your home.

Monarch Migration
Saturday Sep 19, 2020 3:00pm - 4:00pm EDTOur Monarch Migration guests will receive Zoo admission for up to 5 people to attend the onsite release, 3 sets of craft kits, 3 sets of butterfly wings, a butterfly friendly plant(s) and a virtual “ask the expert” session.
Event Information
Join us online for our annual butterfly festival! Tune in and watch as we release more than 1,000 tagged monarch butterflies to coincide with the annual monarch migration.
Want to be even more involved in the fun? Donate as little as $5 to be a Butterfly Hero and receive a tag ID to follow your butterfly along their journey. Additional support levels available. A portion of all Flutter Fest donations will be shared with our conservation allies, Monarch Watch.
Due to COVID-19, attendance to the butterfly release field will be limited to guests who purchase Monarch Migration tickets.
