LGBTQ+ Athletes - Panel Discussion

Open panel discussion “Beyond the traditional bounds of gender and sexuality in outdoor sports” featuring LGBTQ+ athletes, leaders and influencers, including backcountry queen, advocate, and activist Wyn Wiley (@pattiegonia), Molly Cameron (cyclist) and Joey Jacinto (strength coach); hosted by North Face professional ultra-runner and Protect Our Winters advocate Stephanie Howe.

 

LGBTQ athletes have long struggled to gain recognition and acceptance - learn how social practices have changed and benefited current LGBT athletes and how events like 'Winter PrideFest' help bring the sporting community together with allies.

Pre-purchased Mt Bachelor lift tickets for the weekend will be available for pick-up.

This event is all ages so bring your kiddos.

Join us for a weekend of community events to include 3 full days of skiing at Mt. Bachelor, a 'Welcoming Snocial/'panel discussion on LGBTQ+ People in Sport, 'Wigs//an Icebreaker' - a fun and silly way for participants to connect, Apes Ski Party + Hey Honey Dance Party, and Big Gay Brunch.

The weekend supports the LGBTQ+ community by bringing visibility and inclusitvity to Mt. Bachelor and Bend,Oregon. Thank you to generous support of Visit Bend Cultural Tourism Fund and other sponsors.
