The Girlfriends walk/run event is Sunday, October 13th on the beautiful Vancouver Waterfront! The annual event raises awareness and funds to support many breast cancer patients and their families along the journey.
For 14 years, Pink Lemonade Project has been a beneficiary of the Girlfriends event. Pink Lemonade offers outreach, education, screening, financial and emotional support for patients, families, and caregivers.
Breast cancer will affect 1 in 7 women in their lifetime in the Pacific Northwest. One percent of men will be diagnosed. Recurrence continues and, in some cases, people will lose their lives to the disease.
In 2023, we served a record 3,150 people across 42 counties in SW Washington and Oregon – a 22% increase from 2022. The need is great for breast cancer patients and their families.
